Gender identity pride flags
Gender identity flags celebrate how people know and express their own gender. The transgender flag, designed by Monica Helms in 1999, uses light blue, pink and white, and many later flags build on its colors.
Nonbinary and genderqueer people, whose genders sit outside or between man and woman, have flags of their own, including Marilyn Roxie's genderqueer flag from 2011 and Kye Rowan's nonbinary flag from 2014. Flags such as genderfluid, agender, bigender and demigirl describe more specific experiences.
This category also includes the intersex flag by Morgan Carpenter, which represents people born with variations in sex characteristics. Several newer flags here are still being verified, and their pages say exactly what is not yet confirmed.
