Yellow #FFD800

A long standing intersex color, neither blue nor pink.

Purple #7902AA

Also used as an intersex color. The unbroken circle stands for wholeness, completeness, and the right to bodily autonomy.

History

Morgan Carpenter of Intersex Human Rights Australia created the intersex flag in 2013, choosing colors that are not tied to gender.

The unbroken circle is about being whole and complete, and about the right of intersex people to decide what happens to their own bodies. In December 2013 the flag was formally released under the CC0 public domain dedication so anyone can use it.
