About
About My Pride Flag
A growing directory of every pride flag, with the meaning, history, and creator behind each one.
My Pride Flag is a growing directory of pride flags, from the rainbow that started it all to the newest community flags. Every entry explains what each color means, who made the flag, when it appeared, and where the information comes from.
Flags are how a lot of us first find the words for who we are. We built this place so anyone can look up a flag, learn its story, and find the one that fits them or someone they love.
How we work
- Every flag is credited to its creator when known, with sources listed on its page.
- We only offer downloads for flags that are public domain or openly licensed, and we show the license on every page.
- We add flags in batches and review every submission by hand.
- We leave out any flag tied to harming minors, and hoax or troll flags made to smear the community.
Our commemorative flags
From time to time we design flags to mark special events. These are original My Pride Flag designs, clearly labeled, and released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license, so you are free to use them with credit to myprideflag.com.
Who is behind it
My Pride Flag is an independent project run by Erika Castillo in the Los Angeles area. We are not affiliated with any flag designer. The site is supported by ads and affiliate links, which you can read about in our affiliate disclosure.
