History
Salt Lake City's council unanimously adopted the Sego Visibility flag as an official city flag on May 6, 2025, along with the Sego Belonging flag. It is Monica Helms's transgender pride flag with the city's sego lily added in the canton.
The city says the flag symbolizes its transgender community and its commitment to seeing and celebrating them.
Utah's 2025 law banned unofficial flags on government buildings, so the city made these pride flags official city flags. The sego lily comes from Salt Lake City's flag, designed in 2020 by West High School students Arianna Meinking and Elio Kennedy-Yoon.
