History
Emily Gwen shared a seven stripe orange, white, and pink lesbian flag online in 2018, with a meaning for each stripe. A simpler five stripe version followed and quickly became the one you see most at marches and on merch.
The flag was made to welcome all lesbians, including butch and gender nonconforming women, and it has largely replaced older lesbian flags.
